Lawrence Lessig - "a brilliant agile mind - absolutely extraordinarily prolific writer and speaker and above all an advocate for all the right things"
"If nature has made any one thing less susceptible than all others of exclusive property, it is the action of a thinking power called an idea ... no one possesses the less of it because every other possesses the whole of it ... as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening mine" -- Thomas Jefferson

Great Expectations is one of Dickens' later works and considered one of his best. It is notable for it's more naturalistic depiction of characters; here motivations and personal viewpoints form the heart of the narrative. The story follows the arc of a young orphan's life as he first tries to raise himself to a higher station in life and finally discovers the solution to some mysteries and comes to terms with himself.
Le Morte d'Arthur is a classic tale of loyalty, love, and death. Malory assembles some French and English Arthurian romances, along with some additions of his own. The outline of the story will be familiar to many, it is the source for many modern Arthurian authors, but modern retellings present only a fraction of the original Malory. First printed in 1485 it is likely it will be as well known and loved in another 500 years.
